Repair Hangar Door 1 and Heat, Barksdale AFB

Complete demolition and rebuilding of 20 each 70’X40’ foot hangar doors, removal and disposal of 2 every 70 ft. hangar doors via crane, reconfiguration of door operation and aperture’s, new; motors, cables, tracks, extensive welding, and metalwork, new upper rollers, all new windows, complex electrical configurations, limit switches, safety devices & controls, extensive concrete & rail replacement work (450 cy yards), drain cleaning (Plumbing) & scoping, to include any necessary pipe replacement, HVAC & Mechanical, lead paint removal, bond blasting, interior and exterior painting, environmental requirements, air quality testing, concrete testing. The facility was occupied and phasing was required for each bay of the hangar. The project required extensive security checks, using activity coordination and flight line badges and access due to occupied hangar with B52 maintenance.
